I think the stuff is helm and bracers is cortosis fibre one of the few things that can resist a lightsaber by shorting out the blade, as far as i was aware it only popped up in the EU that disney claimed is all non cannon so who knows then again the writers for the Acolyte don't seem to be overly interested in the lore or continuity of the Disneyverse *shrug*

You could set up a utube channel and pick apart ANY t.v. show ever made on the same manner and find the same amount of (so called) flaws......

Also, my entire family hated Inside Out 2. They all went there because of word of mouth (people said it didn't suck). My niece (around 7) was so bored she had to keep being told to not dance in the aisle instead of watching the movie. The characters make little to no sense, the timeline makes little to no sense, and the story is boring and nonsensical. But hey, at least Embarrassment was funny. You know what isn't funny? Putting the emotion "Ennui" into a 13 year old girl, and pretending that she would have any idea what it was, let alone have it in the first place. Most *ADULTS* can't pronounce the word, let alone even know what it is, and most adults don't even have the fucking emotion! Movie sucks. Disney won't learn squat from this because even if they were capable of it, this isn't a lesson worth learning.

I really do not understand the hatred of Elemental. I mean, I understand the initial bias because I had it too. I don't like, or trust, Disney to make good anything. But the movie was good. Not perfect, but good. And the story was wholesome. So were the characters, despite how over the top emotional the male supporting character is (at least they give a reason *WHY* the character is like that). It was competent, well put together overall, great visuals, good sound design and soundtrack, and the story was not only consistent but had a good traditional moral story to it. It was like watching a movie from the 80s that didn't suck, so seeing *SO MANY* critics simply say "meh, woke trash" really made me question everything all of them say. I really think that Elemental suffered from being associated with Disney, not with being a shitty movie.

Honestly, I liked Yord more than Jecky. Not really anything to do with Jecky the “character” more just the way the writers used her. She had all the plans, knew all the information, figured out everything first, defeated the evil twin who killed a Jedi master, and held out the longest on her own against Smilo Ren. She was just such a blatantly obvious Mary Sue. Yord was the annoying stickler for the rules, but at least he showed a soft spot for good twin, and real fear for the Sith. I was really rooting for him to just knock good twin out and get her to the ship because that would have been funny and he would have finally showed some backbone. But instead he just follows her like a lost puppy. Again. The using the helmet was smart but his momentary intelligence didn’t last very long. I really didn’t care much for the characters but I was more disappointed with Yord because at least Jecky got to look cool while dying. Yord died like an afterthought.

I think Darth Jacked has a cortosis helmet. That's a metal that disrupts lightsabers. It's from the books, so I'm confused how Disney even knows about it? Did...did they start READING?! Nah...must have been in the wookiepedia 'research' they did...yeah...that's probably it.

Your wife and 10 year old are apt; this is a _DISNEY_ show in the disguise of Star Wars. Granted, the brutal violence says "Not just for kids!" yet the writing is written and intended for Disney's major demographic; children. Looking at it with this mindset only makes it worse as even great shows intended for 10-12 year olds actually had substance. This is just "look at the shiny keys being dangled!"

And the fact that this series is for children has only just reached you? Yes, this is the level of children in elementary school, so when watching it, viewers should not analyze it like a complicated production for adults. Gosh, I've been repeating this since the first episode. This series is the intellectual level of thirteen-year-olds at most.

One time two of my friends lead on a hellish long walk/hike to meet one of their friends. It was awful and I was complaining about it halfway through. I was actually reconsidering my friendship with them. Unfortunately I learnt that we took the long way there because they forgot the other route. Eventually I became really good friends with the new guy, and forgave the other two but I learnt I hate hikes.

On its own the metal is quite brittle, but alloyed it makes fantastic armour to take into a lightsabre fight, rich in Star Wars bullshitium, it'll disrupt the plasma blade and short out the weapon for a brief period.

But there was just something about how hokey and forced that Disney stuff was that disgusted me to the core. It's probably the part of me that semi-matured and learned to hate MTV movies (except for Old School) and productions (especially the pustulant venereal disease of Reality Shows) in my teen and young adult years, lol.]

If they had revealed smilo ren to be anyone other than the poison dude, it would have been a good plot twist. It was so painfully, agonizingly obvious from the second he was introduced that if literally anyone else was the sith, hell even the beaver guy, it would have caught everyone completely off guard and been an awesome twist. But of course, they went with the clearly telegraphed option. Also, other really nitpicky thing, but it doesnt really make sense for the younglings to be practicing lightsaber combat with actual physical swords. Non-lethal training sabers are a thing that exist. And lightsaber blades are made of confined plasma, meaning the center of mass is in the hilt rather than along the blade as it is in a normal sword. You arent swinging any actual weight around with a lightsaber, so its gonna feel like a night and day difference compared to a regular sword.

The deaths in episode 5 were so damn funny to me. Leslye was trying to make it all tragic and emotional, but she forgot to make the audience care about the characters first.

John wick might be superhuman but was still razed close the reapers door and I constantly felt worried for his safety wich made the movie feel thrilling, stressful and over all cool. I never worried about captain Marvels safety it felt like she was constantly playing easy mode wich kinda felt boring to watch.

I have a hard time thinking a 10 year old boy would find this show anything but boring. No offense to your son, of course, I just think those two episodes in particular were really slow.
